Disco Google Labs
Disco is designed as a playground for discovering the next generation of AI features for the web rather than a replacement for Chrome. You start with a natural language prompt instead of a traditional address bar, then GenTabs analyses your open tabs and Gemini chat history to understand what you are working on and what tool would genuinely help. From there, it automatically builds lightweight, task specific apps that can visualize information, organize research, or create dashboards anchored to the real sites you already have open, with every generative element linking back to its original source. For everyday users, this means planning a holiday, building a study aid, or doing competitor research becomes an interactive workspace instead of a messy row of tabs. You can refine each app by chatting in plain language, asking Disco to add filters, change layouts, or pull in more data without touching code or switching tools. Because Disco runs as a closed beta under Google Labs, the most promising ideas and workflows tested here are expected to flow into larger Google products over time, giving early adopters a preview of how AI may reshape browsing and productivity on the open web.
